Apprendre le français dans la pause-café ? Évaluation d’un podcast pour apprendre le français

Författare

  • Petter Karlsson Söderstrand

Summary, in English

This study uses the model of Jamieson, Chapelle and Preiss, along with the extended theories of Chapelle, to evaluate a tool for learning french online, more specifically the Coffee Break French Podcast. The method employed is dual: an expert analysis based on a profound study of the material, and a survey sent to a set of the podcast users. The study finds that the podcasts, along with its supplementary materials, offers high levels of enhanced input, interaction within a persons mind, learner adaptation, practicality (functionality and accessibility) and help available in language production. It's weaker points are interaction between the learner and another person and between the learner and a computer, as well as in opportunities for linguistic production.
